Northern History Forum: Untold Stories

Following on from the success of the previous Northern History Forum events, we are delighted to send you details of our next evening. This will take place at Leeds Trinity University on Wednesday 16 November and the theme will be Untold Stories.

We’ve all heard that common lament that history is about dead white ruling men; but what of the untold stories that make up the rich fabric of history? The stories that help us to see the past through the eyes of those that lived it? From stories of ordinary men and women to our wide global cultural heritage, it is our job as history educators to weave these stories into the fabric of the history that we teach. Join us at this special Northern History Forum looking at how we can tell these untold stories to our students.

Please click here to download the flyer, for details of speakers and workshops. As at previous events there will be a large exhibition of stands from local and national organisations. Hodder Education are kindly sponsoring the refreshments including a wine reception at this event.

The flyer also gives details of how to book both for attendance and also for which workshops you wish to attend and how to make payment. The booking and payment process for this event is online as in previous years. Please note that you will need to have payment details available at the time of booking. Remember early booking will help you to secure your workshop preference.
We only have a limited number of places and booking closes on 8 November 2016.  We look forward to welcoming you all on what promises to be a memorable evening.
